Day by day 360-degree videos are getting popular on YouTube and social media networks. actually it is good for us because this let us to experience videos in all directions. 360-degree videos is also known as spherical videos and we can also watch these videos using gyroscope which is normally available in smartphones, if someone’s mobile doesn’t have smartphone he or she can experience 360-degree video by scrolling their touch screen. 360-degree videos are usually created using multiple cameras or dedicated camera which contains multiple lenses. Steps to Play 360-Degree Videos on Windows or MacOS-
- VLC media player started support 360-degree videos in their recent update but its still in beta version and as of now it is available for 32-bit (If you have 64-bit OS you can still use this version but as of now it is optimised for 32-bit OS users).
- Download VLC media player using following link- For Windows- https://downloads.videolan.org/videolan/testing/360/vlc-3.0.0-git-win32.exe, For MacOS- https://downloads.videolan.org/videolan/testing/360/vlc-3.0.0-git.dmg .
- Install and open it in your PC, if it doesn’t start then right click on VLC program and click on properties then go to compatibility mode and click on Run Compatibility troubleshooter.
- Now just open 360-degree video on VLC media player and move its position using mouse.
NOTE– The version of VLC media player is still in beta position so you might found bugs, you will not found this version in official VLC media player website because its still in beta position.
